Krishna Patel attended Stony Brook University where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Biology while also working as a Direct Support Professional. After graduating she worked as a medical assistant in dermatology and then went on to receive her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from St. John's University. She is a board certified Physician Assistant. Since then she worked in dermatology and now in 2025 has joined Mid Island Allergy Group to further her passion for helping others alongside the excellent staff here.

Dr. Jake Rosenblum joined Mid Island Allergy Group in July of 2023. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University and his medical degree from NYIT-COM. Dr. Rosenblum completed his residency in Medicine at NYU Langone – Long Island Hospital and is board certified in Internal Medicine. He then went on to complete his Allergy & Immunology fellowship also at NYU Langone – Long Island Hospital in Mineola, NY.

Dr. Zitt has been serving the Long Island community for over 35 years as the chief of allergy and immunology of the Queens – Long Island Medical Group. He received his medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He completed a residency in Medicine at Long Island College Hospital and a fellowship in Allergy-Immunology and Chest Disease at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy and Immunology.

Dr. Puglisi joined Mid Island Allergy Group in July of 2007. He attended undergraduate school at Syracuse University, and received his medical degree from the St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Medicine at Yale University affiliate Nowalk Hospital, and a fellowship in Allergy-Immunology at Nassau University Medical Center, and North Shore – Long Island Jewish Medical Center, under the division of Pediatrics. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy and Immunology.

Dr. Gerardi founded the Mid Island Allergy Group in 1982, and retired in 2018. He attended undergraduate school at St. John’s University, and received his medical degree from the University of Guadalajara. Dr. Gerardi completed a residency in Pediatrics at Nassau University Medical Center and a fellowship in Allergy-Immunology in the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Gerardi is a member of the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, the New York State Allergy Society, the Nassau County Medical Society, and the Long Island Allergy and Asthma Society where he served as president from 2000 to 2002. In 1994 he was elected fellow of the Nassau County Academy of Medicine. Dr. Gerardi serves as the allergist at the Developmental Disabilities Institute’s (DDI) Opti-Healthcare, a non-profit facility serving disabled children and adults. Dr. Gerardi has been recognized as an allergy and immunology specialist in the Consumers’ Guide to Top Doctors in 2004, 2005 and 2007, a non-profit peer-guided organization dedicated to helping consumers make informed decisions in the marketplace.

Dr. Grillo joined Mid Allergy Group in July of 2016. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and received his medical degree from the State University of New York, Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn. Dr. Grillo completed his residency in Pediatrics at the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center and is board certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Grillo went on to complete his fellowship in adult and Pediatric Allergy & Immunology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and at the Nemours A.I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE. During this time Dr. Grillo has conducted research regarding penicillin allergy in the pediatric population and received extensive training in the area of pediatric food allergy and oral food challenges. He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (ACAAI).
